From the Editor
Why are Israeli high-tech companies closing large financing rounds lately?
Last month we published the results of the IVC-KPMG Survey on high-tech capital raising. The survey's findings confirm what many in the industry have known for some time – increasing numbers of Israeli high-tech companies are closing financing rounds of $20 million or more. When we examined rounds that occurred in 2014 we found that there were 39 rounds over $20 million, totaling over $1.3 billion. The number of large deals led us to ask ourselves if it was reasonable for high-tech companies to raise such large amounts in one round and if so, why?
