The UltraShape solution is based on proprietary technology with the following components:

A real time optical tracking and guidance system allowing a simple, safe and efficient procedure

Innovative selective ultrasound technology
UltraShape technology applies focused therapeutic acoustic waves for selective lysis of adipocytes, using a predetermined amount of ultrasound energy across the subdermal fat layer.
The ultrasound waves generate a mechanical effect in the confined focal volume, causing fat cell membranes to rupture. The mechanical effect ensures that only adipose tissue within the targeted area is disrupted. Surrounding tissue (blood and lymph vessels, skin tissue and peripheral nerves) is not impacted by the process and remains intact.

Real Time Guidance by an Advanced Tracking System
The UltraShape tracking system includes a software algorithm that maps the 3-D treatment zone. Precision and safety are underpinned by an optical image guidance system that ensures the following:
a) Prevents treatment beyond the pre-marked zone
b) Precludes repeat treatments

The system also records and synchronizes patient position during treatment so that patient movement can occur without impacting treatment procedures.

The UltraShape® Contour I system is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that employs focused ultrasound to effectively and safely reduce unsightly fat deposits in men and women. It is the only non-thermal ultrasound device that selectively targets and disrupt fat cells, leaving critical surrounding structures such as skin, blood vessels, nerves and connecting tissues unharmed. The UltraShape treatment is non-invasive, and requires no down-time or recovery period after treatment.
RFVac	CE Approved
Combining radio frequency and vacuum capabilities, RFVac prepares the tissue before the ultrasound treatment and accelerates the clearance of fat following the treatment, all in a single session. Often, body contouring treatments involve the application of a combination of technologies from different systems, requiring the treating physician to purchase additional equipment and to change machines in the middle of a session. The UltraShape Contour I with RFVac allows the use of multiple modalities in a single system, which not only improves the effectiveness and consistency of results but also makes the treatment economically attractive to physicians.

Multi-Focus Ultrasound delivers higher acoustic energy and allows selective destruction of fat cells in various depths of the fat tissue. This advanced technology targets fat cells at a single or multiple depths of the fat layer simultaneously in a single pulse of energy. This allows for treatment of a larger volume of fat and provides a more customized body sculpting solution for a greater patient population.
