TECHNOLOGY

The Secured Dimensions Code Partitioning technology is the core, patent-pending technology that transforms compiled .NET code (MSIL) into a secured version, while maintaining all DLL and function interfaces for full backward compatibility.

After partitioning, SVM-modified code runs on the end-user machine exactly like any other function - but with zero visibility to hackers and crackers. Unlike other solutions, including code encryption and code obfuscation tools, SecureLM permanently converts MSIL code into custom, vendor-specific code that is never "decrypted" back (private Code Partition). Transformed code runs natively on top of the .NET framework, ensuring full interoperability with all hardware platforms, and full optimization by the .NET optimizer.

Despite absolute interface and functionality retention, original Intermediate Language code is never available during runtime, or any other time. By permanently modifying sensitive code, the SecureLM completely protects code from hacking, tampering or reverse engineering.

At runtime, the Secure Virtual Machine runs transformed code, with no performance impact. SecureLM accomplishes this by only selectively transforming code key vendor-chosen functions that require the highest level of protection.

In order to avoid vendor-to-vendor dependency, a unique version of the SVM is supplied to each vendor, or even for a given product line, as per vendor preference. Each permutation of the SVM consists of private command set and memory structures, ensuring that in the unlikely event of hacking or cracking an SVM, no other vendor's code would be at risk .
