DESCRIPTION

Israel Innovation Authority Pre-Seed Program is designed to encourage the germination of start-up companies in Israel, which operate in R&D-intensive, high-risk fields and in early stages, by expanding the funding sources available to them. Israel Innovation Authority Pre-Seed Program will participate in an investment round in companies at the pre-seed stage, together with an investor or private investors who will invest in the investment round (minus the Israel Innovation Authority's grant), this is to reduce risk for investors and encourage the realization of the investment

The Israel Innovation Authority Pre-Seed Program participates in the pre-seed investment round at a grant rate of 60% of the amount of the investment round up to a grant ceiling of NIS 1.5m ($400k). Companies that meet the conditions of a preferred company (the entrepreneurs who own at least 33% of the company's shares are from a population underrepresented in high-tech (Arabs, ultra-Orthodox and women), or whose place of operation is in Development Zone A, will receive an additional 10% on the grant, so that the grant ceiling will be NIS 1.65m ($460k).

Moonshot develops an electric electromagnetic accelerator that allows objects to be accelerated to hypersonic speeds of up to 8 kilometers per second.
