DESCRIPTION

Israel Innovation Authority Seed Program is designed to encourage the establishment and growth of start-up companies in Israel, which operate in R&D-intensive, high-risk fields and in early stages, by expanding the funding sources available to them. The Israel Innovation Authority will participate in an investment round in Seed companies, together with a private investor or investors in order to reduce risk for investors and encourage the realization of the investment.

Israel Innovation Authority Seed Program will participate in the seed investment round at a grant rate of 50% of the amount of the investment round up to a grant ceiling of NIS 5 million ($1.38m). Companies that meet the conditions of a preferred company (one of the entrepreneurs who owns at least 33% are from a population underrepresented in high-tech (Arabs, ultra-Orthodox and women), or whose place of operation is in Development Zone A , will receive an additional 10% on the grant, so that the grant ceiling will be NIS 6.6 million ($2.2).
