TECHNOLOGY

ART bases its products on unique signal processing algorithms developed originally for demanding electronic military applications. ART’s signal processing techniques employ multi-layer recognition algorithms, ensuring extremely high accuracy at fast speeds. ART has incorporated its state-of-the-art technologies into two product lines: smARTspeak® - a unique voice recognition software, and smARTwriter® - an advanced handwriting recognition software.

• smARTspeak® - ART’s highly accurate and ultra compact (10-20KB code) voice recognition software is ideally suited for voice-activated dialing in cellular phones, car kits, and desktop phones. The award-winning smARTspeak cam also be used to voice activate computers and multimedia applications, educational software, toys, games, and electronic appliances. Based on a command and control recognition engine, smARTspeak can recognize any speaker, in any language or accent. ART also offers the smARTspeak® SDK (Software Developer’s Kit), allowing voice recognition capabilities to be easily built into application operating within Windows® 3.xx or Windows® 95 platforms.

• smARTwriter® - ART’s intuitive, compact, on-line handwriting recognition software immediately converts handwrriten letters into ASCII text within seconds. It can recognize handwritten letters, as well as on stroke, pre-defined, or trainable characters for higher recognition accuracy. SmARTwriter supports many languages and can be implemented on a variety of handheld computers, PDAs, smartphones and two-way pagers. Versions of SmARTwriter are available for Windows CE, Windows 3.1, and the GEOS operationg system.

ART has recently introduced two end user products, smARTlaunch and smARTcommand , which utilize our voice and handwriting recognition technologies and are compatible with Windows® 95.

• smARTcommand lets you activate your favorite software applications using your own voice commands. Just speak into your computer’s microphone and let smARTcommand do the rest. You can open files, start games or activate programs just by saving the name of the application.

• smARTlaunch™ lets you launch your favorite software applications by stroking your own predefined symbols on the surface of your touchpad. Draw a “W” with your finger on your computer touchpad and smARTlaunch immediately calls up Microsoft Word. Draw an “M” and smARTlaunch will open your Internet e-mail in a jiffy.
